We were recently referred here for a tumor in our dog’s mouth. Unfortunately, we did not receive good news, and we only had a couple more weeks with her. However, I am so thankful for the Doctor’s blunt, but empathetic honesty. He could have easily squeezed money from us by demassing the tumor, etc. But he was very straightforward in saying that any surgical procedures would just cause discomfort for our dog in the limited time she had left and that we should just enjoy the time we had left with her. His empathy wasn’t overbearing and didn’t seem manufactured; I could feel his sorrow and sympathy in delivering the news though. I sincerely hope he reads this review so he knows how thankful we are that he was the person we crossed paths with during this very difficult journey.

Dr. Russel did a wonderful job getting my Angel's abscess tooth removed. He wanted to look in her mouth before taking her back and I said I doubt it but you can try. Don't touch under her chin neck area it's very sensitive. What did he do...she yelped & lunged at him. I told you not to. Glad I had a hold of the leash.

We were referred to Dr. Russell by our vet in Edmond, OK for our baby's discolored canine tooth. Everyone at this clinic was so nice and thorough throughout the whole process. We were worried about her loosing one of her canine teeth, but Dr. Russell was able to save the tooth with a root canal. They explained everything they would be doing from start to finish and were very reassuring. We were sent home with post care instructions as well as notes from her chart for us to keep. I felt 100% comfortable leaving our baby with them for this procedure. I would refer anyone to go to Dr. Russell for their pets dental needs. My dog fractured one of his molars and Dr. Russel helped us save the tooth by creating a sealant. His table side manner was excellent - so kind and took his time to answer questions and explain the procedure. Goose just had his annual checkup at the vet and they were so impressed by Dr. Russel’s work. Goose and I will be returning next month for some follow-up radiographs, and we look forward to it!

I brought my baby girl, Abby, (fifteen and a half years old) to Dr. Russell because she needed dental extractions and I was extremely concerned about putting her under anesthesia at her age. Dr. Russell was very reassuring and did a magnificent job! She recovered quickly and is doing great. Dr. Russell came highly recommended by my regular vet, not only for his expertise, but for the extra equipment he has to make sure your pet stays safe during the procedure. I am so grateful...would give him 10 stars if I could!

A lot of reviews here say this place is expensive. It is, and it's worth every penny...let me explain why!

So my dog had a lot of plaque and gingivitis on her teeth and gums. My regular vet said they wanted to pull the tooth I was concerned about after they cleaned it and did the check for gum depth, etc.

It turned out they wouldn't NOT have pulled the tooth that I was concerned about, or the one that needed to be pulled.

Dr. Russell did a CT scan on her, and the tooth BEHIND the one I was concerned about was infected inside the tooth!

Before I agreed to have him clean and examine her they gave me a full estimate. When they found out they had to pull a tooth, the called again to make sure I wanted to pull it and gave me a new estimate.

Here's the deal, I paid about 4 times what my vet would have charged to clean and maybe pull a tooth. I don't think my vet would have pulled any teeth based on a regular examination (checking gum depths, etc). The tooth that Dr. Russell pulled would have gone undetected for who knows how long causing her discomfort and maybe pain.

The point is, we found the real problem in her mouth and got it fixed first time because we went to a specialist that has the tools and capability to diagnose the problem first time. You get what you pay for.

I would highly recommend Dr. Russell's office for any dental concerns.
