They tried to clean my dog’s teeth for like 5 minutes and called us saying it can’t be done. I feel “scammed” out of $50. Why am I being charged money when I didn’t receive the service? Their business model is definitely problematic.

I take my dogs, Francis and Ruthie, to Pettooth for regular cleanings. They are both seniors but thanks to Maia and Verena’s attentive and thorough care, they are both still flashing beautiful smiles. I cannot recommend Pettooth highly enough.

I was skeptical about coming here at first because my dog (Bailey) is very anxious and does not like having her teeth touched, but Maia, Dr. Sarah Daniel, and the hygienist were amazing! My dog is 7.5 years old and just had a cleaning under anesthesia at the vet less than a year ago, but her teeth were already starting to develop large amounts of calculus so I decided to give Pettooth a try as COHAT cleanings at the vet are very expensive (usually around $3,000) and the dogs have to go under anesthesia, which is not ideal especially when they are getting older. Dr. Sarah Daniel and Maia took pictures of the concerns with Bailey's teeth and went over everything in detail, I got more answers and advice about what to do than I did at our usual vet! Unfortunately, I was informed that Bailey will need some extractions but given her age and the fact that she just went under anesthesia less than a year ago they were willing to try and do her dental cleaning anyway. To my surprise the hygienist was able to get all of the calculus off and there was a noticeable difference in Bailey's teeth after the cleaning. I will still need to go to our regular vet to get a COHAT cleaning for Bailey and some extractions done, but Pettooth bought us some time in the meantime and made Bailey feel very comfortable. Thank you to the Pettooth team for being so gentle with Bailey and being so kind while explaining her oral health to me. I highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future!

I had to pay the $50 booking fee, take an Uber all the way there, only to be told that my little corgi was aggressive and they couldn’t do the teeth cleaning. Very disappointing, they didn’t even offer to refund the $50.

Absolutely love Pettooth. Look, if your pet dentist doesn't sit on the floor and wrap your cat like a burrito, you're going to the wrong pet dentist. Love the affordable and gentle care we get here.
